Maybe you've already noticed... Your dog gets up more slowly, plays less, or seems to have gotten "older."
But often it is not old age, but signs of wear and tear of the cartilage that keeps the joints elastic.
As the dog ages, cartilage gradually deteriorates. The bones begin to rub against each other, causing pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
In larger, more active or heavier dogs, this process is even faster, sometimes already at a young age.
If left untreated, the symptoms can worsen and require expensive and invasive treatment.
